About this role
Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the primary function of this position is to maintain building facilities by performing services including painting, carpentry, plumbing, carpeting and electrical repairs and installations. Facility maintenance also includes: (1) checking the boiler room at ASRC and other buildings; (2) performing routing checks for work order requests at the shop; and (3) responding, as needed, to non-routine or emergency calls. The scope of the position includes: (1) exchanging information with all employees regarding maintenance and repair issues; (2) requesting bids and communication on performance with contractors; (3) ordering supplies from suppliers; and (4) discussion of compliance with federal and state agencies.
