Mid-Land Enterprises is seeking a skilled Structural Steel and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management or equivalent industry experience and a strong understanding of steel building construction, estimating, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate project estimates and bid proposals for Structurural Steel, PEMB and related construction projects
- Perform field measurements, site evaluations, and job specifications
- Generate and track leads, bids, and sales opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Coordinate between Sales and Operations to ensure successful project execution
- Utilize Multiple job boards, websites, Procore, Bluebeam, and other estimating tools to develop scopes, takeoffs, and proposals
- Follow up on proposals and assist in converting bids into awarded work
- Help standardize and maintain internal estimating and quoting procedures
- Serve as a solutions-oriented resource for customers and internal teams
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent construction estimating experience
- Experience estimating Steel Structures or PEMB projects preferred
- Expert in construction drawings, specifications, and takeoffs
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
