Position Location This position is onsite located in Dededo, Guam. Job Overview The Carpenter performs construction, repair, installation, structural maintenance, demolition, and minor construction tasks required to sustain Field Office Spaces (FOS), latrine units, administrative trailers, storage structures, temporary fencing support, and other facilities in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Responsibilities include building repair, interior and exterior finishes, roofing, flooring, doors, windows, weatherproofing, structural components, and support to O&M and logistics activities. Pay Rate: 23.45hr Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Perform minor construction, repair, alteration, and demolition tasks across FOS, latrines, and other temporary facilities. Install and repair structural components including interior/exterior finishes, roofing, foundations, decking, steps, windows, and doors. Construct and repair packing crates using heat-treated lumber compliant with ISPM 15 standards. Install secure entrance/exit platforms, steps, and weatherproofing features to meet architectural requirements. Provide lumber placement support for container dunnage and stabilization as required by site logistics. Repair facility walls, ceilings, trim, flooring, and structural members following O&M repair requirements. Support restoration of sites to original condition during demobilization. Install or repair signs, fences, locks, and miscellaneous facility components as directed. Support mold and mildew mitigation by performing structural repairs and replacing affected building materials as required. Assist with movement, placement, anchoring, and securing of FOS units, latrines, and other structures. Support fencing installation including chain link panels, mesh netting, and gate assembly. Support vegetation boundary compliance by repairing or adjusting facility structures impacted by grounds maintenance. Ensure all carpentry tasks comply with Federal, DoD, Service Branch, and Host Installation regulations. Coordinate planned construction or repair activities requiring environmental approval with the Project Manager. Follow safety standards including EM 385-1-1 and all installation-specific construction safety requirements. Ability to work overtime as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Mandatory: High School graduate or equivalent GED. At least five (5) years’ of commercial carpentry experience completing similar work. Experience performing construction, minor construction, demolition, structural repair, and building system installation. Ability to read and interpret construction guidance, site requirements, and installation specifications. Familiarity with DoD, GEPA, and installation safety regulations including EM 385-1-1. Experience with lumber fabrication, packing crate construction, and repair compliant with ISPM 15. Ability to operate basic carpentry tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectively. Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance. Preferred: Possess required security clearance.
