CDL A DRIVER – Sludge Hauling, Dump Truck, Equipment Transport

Skips Wastewater Services is the leading full service wastewater provider that specializes in septic tank and grease trap pumping, septic system repair and installations, septic inspections, and more. Protecting the environment by ensuring the proper health of septic systems through maintenance and education is one of our top priorities.

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working CDL A Driver to join the company. The main duty for this driver will be hauling sludge from contracted towns (50%-75% of weekly schedule) from smaller wastewater plants to larger plants within Connecticut. When not hauling sludge, this position will assist in delivering sand/rock materials to our job sites in a dump truck and transporting construction equipment to our various job sites around the State of Connecticut. We work year-round to serve our 35,000+ loyal customers. Trucks are garaged at night so they stay warm with no snow and ice to have to remove in the winter months. Our on-site fueling station also adds convenience. Our indoor washbay keeps our trucks looking good at all times. We are always looking to hire the right people to fit in with our highly successful company.

The applicant must have a Class A CDL and a clean driving record. Previous equipment loading/hauling/offloading experience is preferred. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A CDL
• Manual truck driving experience required, not including schooling
• Clean driving record
• Must have the ability to lift objects up to 65 pounds
• Must be able to follow the direction and orders of the President and other supervisors
• Must be drug free; all drivers are required to have a pre-employment drug screening and are thereafter subject to random drug tests.

Duties:

• Haul sludge with a tanker from local municipalities to larger wastewater plants
• Load excavators safely onto trailer
• Drive equipment to various job sites across the State of Connecticut
• Safely load/unload equipment to residential and commercial properties
• Deliver sand/rock materials to job sites
