CDL Driver (Residential)

The Residential Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers. The driver will collect solid waste or recyclables on curbside and/or backdoor routes and transporting to post-collection facilities.

 

Pay: $28/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations: Safely operate residential/recycling collection trucks (side-load, rear-load) and hydraulic systems to collect waste/recyclables along assigned routes.
• Inspections & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-/post-trip inspections, complete truck reports, report mechanical issues immediately, and keep equipment clean.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE (gloves, safety vest, boots, glasses), maintain route quality standards, and report any incidents immediately.
• Professionalism: Represent the company professionally, manage assigned Helpers (if applicable), and attend required safety/branch meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• License & Experience: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with 1+ years of commercial driving experience (or CDL school certificate).
• Skills: Demonstrated ability to drive commercial trucks, maneuver/back up in tight spaces (120+ ft), and follow oral/written instructions.
• Physical Demands: Ability to repetitively lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs (and occasionally up to 100 lbs).
• Work Environment: Comfortable working outdoors 100% of the time in varying weather conditions and high-traffic areas.
