About this role
Repair and overhaul trucks, trailers and other equipment in our own full-service heavy truck shop at the Waite Park headquarters. Reports to the Shop Supervisor. Responsibilities: Rebuild, replace and repair major components including transmissions and suspensions; Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently; Check and repair electrical and cooling systems; Perform tune-ups, preventive maintenance and regular vehicle care; Remove defective parts and replace with new, rebuilt or refurbished parts; Inspect parts for wear and repair or replace pistons, rods, gears, valves and bearings. Requirements: High school diploma or GED; 2 years of related work experience; Advanced knowledge of diesel and engine maintenance and repair; Knowledge of operating systems on heavy trucks; Helpful: DOT Inspector certification, CDL, forklift or overhead crane experience.
