TriplePoint is an integrated building infrastructure services and modular manufacturing platform supporting some of the most demanding environments in the modern economy—including data centers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and other mission-critical facilities.

Our strength comes from bringing together exceptional operating companies, deep technical expertise, advanced fabrication capabilities, and the scale of a national platform. Across our organization, our people share a commitment to safety, performance, accountability, and delivering exceptional results for our customers.

We’re looking for a Director of Sales Excellence and Business Development to join our team and help us continue building what comes next.

The Opportunity

This is more than a traditional sales enablement role. We’re looking for a strategic commercial leader who understands how great sales organizations operate—and knows how to turn strategy into practical tools, processes, leadership behaviors, and business development initiatives that produce results.

You’ll partner with senior sales and business leaders to strengthen sales effectiveness, expand market opportunities, improve pipeline and forecasting discipline, develop sales leadership capability, and create greater consistency in how our teams approach customers and growth.

If you enjoy building, coaching, influencing, and helping sales organizations perform at a higher level, this is an opportunity to make an impact across a growing organization.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and lead sales enablement and business development strategies aligned with TriplePoint’s growth objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Partner with senior sales and business leaders to identify growth opportunities and translate business strategy into actionable commercial initiatives.
  • Develop service sales and business development strategies that expand market opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and support profitable revenue growth.
  • Build scalable sales excellence frameworks, methodologies, tools, and operating practices that improve execution and accountability.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to sales leadership on sales performance, organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, pipeline health, and business development opportunities.
  • Build the capabilities of sales leaders through coaching frameworks, leadership development programs, performance tools, and targeted development strategies.
  • Identify organizational and individual performance gaps and partner with leaders to develop solutions that improve sales effectiveness.
  • Lead the strategy and governance of sales training, onboarding, and development programs to create consistent and scalable capabilities across the organization.
  • Provide sales leaders with the tools and resources needed to coach their teams, manage performance, and drive accountability.
  • Help create a high-performance sales culture centered on customer focus, leadership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Strengthen sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, account development, and opportunity management practices.
  • Establish sales performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting frameworks that provide meaningful visibility into pipeline, forecasting, productivity, sales effectiveness, and business development performance.
  • Evaluate existing sales processes and operating models to identify opportunities to simplify workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve execution.
  • Use sales and business data to identify trends, uncover performance gaps, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Support the development of consistent sales practices while allowing teams to respond effectively to their markets and customers.
  • Champion the adoption and optimization of CRM platforms, sales technologies, and supporting tools that improve productivity, data quality, pipeline visibility, and decision-making.
  • Lead change initiatives that strengthen adoption of new sales processes, technologies, methodologies, and ways of working.
  • Partner across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, HR, and other functions to ensure commercial initiatives are connected to broader business priorities.
  • Develop executive-level performance reviews, communications, and recommendations that provide clear visibility into commercial performance, opportunities, and risks.
  • Stay connected to industry trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and evolving sales practices to continually strengthen our commercial capabilities.

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership, sales enablement, business development, commercial excellence, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience leading sales teams, sales leaders, or significant commercial functions and initiatives.
  • A track record of developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue growth and business development.
  • Experience building scalable sales enablement, sales excellence, leadership development, or commercial capability programs.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, performance management, and sales process optimization.
  • The ability to influence senior leaders, build alignment, and drive results across complex and cross-functional organizations.
  • Experience leading organizational change and driving adoption of new processes, technologies, tools, and ways of working.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn sales and business data into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, sales technologies, Microsoft Office Suite, and related business intelligence and productivity tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.

What Will Set You Apart

While not required, experience with the following would be valuable:

  • Experience developing or leading strategic account management programs.
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-site, regional, or national sales organizations.
  • Experience within service-based, mechanical services, manufacturing, industrial, or other complex B2B environments.
  • Experience partnering directly with executive leadership on commercial strategy, organizational effectiveness, and growth initiatives.
  • Experience leading enterprise-level sales transformation, sales excellence, or commercial effectiveness initiatives.
