<p><strong>Door Maintenance Technician – Commercial Doors&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p><strong>Sylvester's Dock &amp; Door</strong> is a fast-growing, privately owned dock equipment and commercial door service company with 15+ years of operation and 50+ employees.</p>
<p>We service a wide range of commercial customers — warehouses, distribution centers, government facilities, car dealerships, apartment complexes, cold storage facilities, and more — and we're looking for an experienced commercial door technician who takes pride in quality work and reliable service.</p>
<p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p>
<p>As a Door Technician, you will independently manage a daily route of service calls, installations, and preventive maintenance for commercial customers. Responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair&nbsp;<strong>commercial overhead doors</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>sectional doors</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>high-speed doors</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>rolling steel doors</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>fire doors</strong></li>
<li>Service and repair&nbsp;<strong>dock equipment</strong>&nbsp;including&nbsp;<strong>dock levelers</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>dock seals and shelters</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>dock bumpers</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>restraints</strong></li>
<li>Install, adjust, and repair&nbsp;<strong>commercial door operators</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>access control systems</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>gate operators</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>related hardware</strong></li>
<li>Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with door systems and operator components</li>
<li>Complete&nbsp;<strong>digital work orders</strong>&nbsp;via company-issued phone and tablet</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized company service vehicle and tool inventory</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with commercial facility managers, maintenance directors, and warehouse personnel</li>
<li>Adhere to all&nbsp;<strong>OSHA safety standards</strong>&nbsp;and company safety protocols</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What We're Looking For</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>1–3+ years of hands-on commercial door experience required</strong>&nbsp;— overhead doors, sectional doors, high-speed doors, dock equipment, or related field</li>
<li>Experience with brands such as&nbsp;<strong>Rytec, Assa Abloy, Overhead Door, Amarr, Clopay, LiftMaster, Chamberlain, BEA, or similar</strong>&nbsp;preferred</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret&nbsp;<strong>wiring diagrams</strong>&nbsp;and perform basic electrical troubleshooting</li>
<li>Strong mechanical aptitude — experience with springs, cables, tracks, and hardware adjustment</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, manage a route, and communicate with customers</li>
<li>Comfortable working at heights, in varying weather conditions, and in industrial/warehouse environments</li>
<li>IDEA or DHI certification a plus but not required</li>
</ul>
