Education
Electrical preferred. Qualifying degree(s) include Civil, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial engineering. Architecture, Building Construction, and Construction Management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Basic understanding of electrical principles
  • Knowledge and use of MS Windows, MSOffice 365 + Teams
  • JavaScript (visual basic understanding)

Work Experience

  • 0 years – Recent grad
  • 3 years – Entry level
  • 5 years – Mid level

Role and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will understand basic electrical principles, V=IR, P-I^2R, etc. and have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Candidate should be able to work well with a team of engineers and independently on large and small commercial / industrial electrical construction projects. Knowledge of JavaScript. Visual basic and dynamo programming is a plus but not required.

  • Model electrical systems and perform short circuit and coordination studies in SKM Power tools
  • Model electrical content in 3D in Revit and plan out electrical systems based on the National Electrical Code.
  • Write basic macros in excel and JavaScript to help increase productivity of repetitive tasks.
  • Prepare reports for distribution to the clients.
  • Print large scale drawings for project managers and field support.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
