ELECTRICIAN HELPER/APPRENTICE

( NO Electrician License Required )

Job Description: A Bickimer Electric Helper is a “working position” or an “apprentice position.”  As such, you will be working directly with a skilled electrician to help manage electrical tools and electrical supplies necessary to complete work in a manner compliant with electrical codes.  Our Helper will be exposed to, learn, and assist our skilled electrician during inspections, general installations, testing, and troubleshooting for residential and commercial projects.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Follow directions from the skilled electrician. Help complete electrician job’s.
2. Fetch tools and supplies for the electrician.
3. Anticipate the needs of the electrician.
4. Supplies run, when and if necessary, while electrician stay working.
5. Help with directions to a customer location and/or drive vehicle.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Restricted Activities:

1. Provide electrical advice to customers.

Downtime duties

1. Wash vehicles
2. Clean/organize vehicles
3. Clean/organize the warehouse

Report to: The electrician helper will report directly to the electrician assigned and Michael (Owner)

Tools Provided

1. No electrical tools will be provided personally. The electrician will have all the tools necessary for the job.  Should include but not limited to
   • Screw Drivers
   • Pliers
   • Wire Strippers
   • Multimeter
   • Voltage Tester
   • Fish Tape
   • Tape Measure
   • Circuit Finder

Training To Include HouseCall Pro (HCP) App

1. Time Tracking App to log in and out daily

Supplies Provided

1. All supplies for the job will be provided or purchased by Bickimer Electric. Should include but not limited to:
   • Wiring
   • Fixtures
   • Fans
   • Outlets

JOB REQUIREMENTS

As an ELECTRICIAN HELPER/APPRENTICE with Bickimer Electric, you must meet the following:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and construction is considered helpful. Top electrician helpers will be any with two or more years of electrical experience. 
• Must have a work history and experience that demonstrates the ability to follow directions and learn new skills.
• Must be able to read, written, and verbally communicate in English.
• Must not have any physical limitations to performing duties.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and pushing a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Never be intoxicated or under the influence of any mind-altering substance while on the clock
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record as will be using company vehicles.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work. I.e., your own vehicle

 

Job Snapshot

Pay: $12.00 to 26.50 per hour
