What You’ll Do

As a GAFL Security Technician, your responsibilities include:

  • Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security, fire alarm, A/V equipment, and cabling in residential and commercial buildings

  • Reviewing job sites, building plans, and installation manuals to complete jobs on time and within budget

  • Testing backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features to ensure proper function

  • Demonstrating systems for customers and clearly explaining how they work

  • Maintaining a clean, organized workspace and service vehicle

  • Stocking and organizing inventory on your vehicle

  • Learning computer networking and programming for advanced systems

  • Achieving industry and manufacturer certifications

What We’re Looking For

  • A willingness to learn and grow in the security industry

  • Strong interest in technology and working with electronics (wired and wireless)

  • Understanding of ohm’s law, AC/DC electrical circuits, and basic electronics is a plus

  • Positive, customer-first attitude with strong communication skills

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on a flexible schedule (including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations)

  • Strong computer skills in Windows and web environments

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a drug screening, background check, and fingerprinting

Job Details

  • Job Type: Full-time

  • Pay: IBEW Union Scale

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with on-call and overtime opportunities

  • Work Locations: Multiple sites across Georgia and Florida
