Excavation Equipment Operator / Laborer
About this role
Terracon LLC is an excavating contractor located in Zeeland, MI. Our projects include earthwork, grading, utilities (storm, water, sanitary, septic), parking lots, pathways, and mass earth moving for townships and counties across Ottawa, Kent, and Allegan.
Some days you're running a machine, some days you're laying pipe or working by hand — whatever the job needs that day. You don't have to be a master operator. If you can run equipment well enough to be useful and you're not afraid of manual labor, we can work with that, and the pay gets better as you do.
What you'll do: run skid steer, excavators, dozers and more; install pipe and set structures; site prep, grading and backfill; hand work; erosion control and general site work.
What we need: a reliable way to get to the shop or jobsite on time; willingness to do manual labor, not just sit in a machine; able to work outside in Michigan weather and lift 50 lbs.
Helps, but not required: experience on excavators, skid steers or dozers; GPS or machine control experience; underground utility or storm sewer work; CDL.
