<p data-start="79" data-end="200"><strong data-start="79" data-end="113">Mid-Atlantic Truck & Equipment</strong> is looking for an experienced <strong data-start="144" data-end="172">Field Service Technician</strong> to join our Compactor team.</p>
<p data-start="202" data-end="503">This is a hands-on role for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment in the field. You’ll work on a variety of compactors and related equipment, putting your experience in <strong data-start="410" data-end="484">hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and mechanical repair</strong> to work every day.</p>
<p data-start="505" data-end="744">From diagnosing hydraulic and electrical issues to repairing motors and pumps, fabricating chutes, and installing cardboard balers, the work is varied and requires someone who can think through problems and see a job through to completion.</p>

<p class="PDq2pG_selectionAnchorContainer" data-section-id="r6ul4a" data-start="165" data-end="241"><strong>As a Field Service Technician with our Compactor department, you’ll:</strong></p>
<ul data-start="243" data-end="1404">
<li data-section-id="4nvkgi" data-start="243" data-end="377"><strong data-start="245" data-end="283">Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair</strong> hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on compactors and related equipment.</li>
<li data-section-id="tzesbj" data-start="378" data-end="518"><strong data-start="380" data-end="422">Repair and replace critical components</strong> including motors, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, valves, controls, and other equipment components.</li>
<li data-section-id="1j7zlvv" data-start="519" data-end="648"><strong data-start="521" data-end="561">Perform welding and fabrication work</strong>, including cutting and replacing chutes, guide rails, and other structural components.</li>
<li data-section-id="x0z7bt" data-start="649" data-end="771"><strong data-start="651" data-end="684">Install and service equipment</strong> such as trash compactors, cardboard balers, and related systems at customer locations.</li>
<li data-section-id="tecxrb" data-start="772" data-end="890"><strong data-start="774" data-end="851">Use torches, cutting tools, welding equipment, and other shop/field tools</strong> to complete repairs and modifications.</li>
<li data-section-id="qr6xjd" data-start="891" data-end="1035"><strong data-start="893" data-end="928">Work independently in the field</strong>, assessing equipment issues, determining the appropriate repair, and seeing the job through to completion.</li>
<li data-section-id="1vbmpqt" data-start="1036" data-end="1156"><strong data-start="1038" data-end="1075">Follow required safety procedures</strong>, including lockout/tagout, fire watch, fall protection, and safe work practices.</li>
<li data-section-id="187palm" data-start="1157" data-end="1285"><strong data-start="1159" data-end="1213">Maintain accurate service and repair documentation</strong> and ensure equipment is returned to safe, reliable operating condition.</li>
<li data-section-id="19d9nkh" data-start="1286" data-end="1404"><strong data-start="1288" data-end="1341">Work directly with customers and the service team</strong> to communicate equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li data-section-id="1vb15q4" data-start="280" data-end="403"><strong data-start="282" data-end="307">Compactor Experience:</strong> Hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing compactors is strongly preferred, but not required. </li>
<li data-section-id="bht2gl" data-start="404" data-end="512"><strong data-start="406" data-end="427">Equipment Repair:</strong> Experience repairing heavy equipment, vocational equipment, or industrial machinery.</li>
<li data-section-id="keaeld" data-start="170" data-end="247"><strong data-start="172" data-end="194">Mechanical Skills:</strong> Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.</li>
<li data-section-id="11k8aap" data-start="248" data-end="338"><strong data-start="250" data-end="277">Hydraulic & Electrical:</strong> Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.</li>
<li data-section-id="1y7yvxd" data-start="339" data-end="424"><strong data-start="341" data-end="367">Welding & Fabrication:</strong> Experience with welding, cutting, and basic fabrication.</li>
<li data-section-id="1orlgjx" data-start="425" data-end="514"><strong data-start="427" data-end="437">Tools:</strong> Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, torches, and measuring equipment.</li>
<li data-section-id="la0a9o" data-start="515" data-end="589"><strong data-start="517" data-end="538">Driver’s License:</strong> Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.</li>
<li data-section-id="ryao0d" data-start="590" data-end="672"><strong data-start="592" data-end="603">Safety:</strong> Commitment to safe work practices and following required procedures.</li>

<li data-section-id="p6xg2i" data-start="819" data-end="882">Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.</li>
<li data-section-id="27pvgh" data-start="883" data-end="948">Ability to kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach as needed.</li>
<li data-section-id="1s2l79q" data-start="949" data-end="1020">Ability to lift and move objects weighing <strong data-start="993" data-end="1005">50+ lbs.</strong> independently.</li>
<li data-section-id="12348on" data-start="1021" data-end="1087">Ability to safely enter and exit various vehicles and equipment.</li>
<li data-section-id="14mspkh" data-start="1088" data-end="1165" data-is-last-node="">Ability to meet the physical requirements of a <strong data-start="1137" data-end="1164">DOT medical examination</strong>.</li>
