Position Summary
We are seeking a Fire Systems Project Manager with experience in fire alarm installation, life safety, and low voltage construction. Our Project Managers (PM) are responsible for the execution of low voltage system projects in accordance with project budgets, code compliance, and managing the field operations team’s work quality and work output. This position will work closely with our sales team, installation team, and clients to ensure a sound design, seamless installation, and professional commissioning of our projects. The PM is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of planning and executing projects. Customer interface and management of staff require a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are important aspects of the PM position.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and work plans.
- Assign tasks and manage resources to meet project goals.
- Coordinate with internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation (RFIs, submittals, change orders, equipment logs, meeting minutes).
Scheduling & Field Coordination
- Develop construction schedules and manpower plans.
- Conduct pre-construction, progress, and close-out meetings.
- Interface with inspectors and ensure all permits and fees are obtained.
- Track material deliveries and adjust schedules as needed to maintain progress.
Financial Management
- Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and billing schedules.
- Review, estimate, and process change orders.
- Support positive cash flow and assist with project close-out analysis.
Customer & Team Communication
- Serve as the primary customer contact for all project phases.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Service, and Field Operations teams.
- Identify and resolve project issues or conflicts efficiently.

Qualifications
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 3 - 5 years proficient installation skills and understanding of fire alarm systems
- 3 - 5 years of project management experience in fire alarm, life safety, DAS, MDU, or low voltage construction.
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
- Strong familiarity with project management software, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
