<div>We’re looking for a skilled and dependable Field I/E Controls Technician&nbsp;to support EMIT’s field installation and service operations across customer sites. In this role, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compressor control systems and related equipment - while representing EMIT with a professional, customer-first mindset.</div>
<div>You’ll work closely with the Field Service Supervisor and broader team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in the field, helping customers keep their operations running reliably.</div>

<div><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong></div>
<ul data-start="918" data-end="2356">
<li>
<div>Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation control systems, including engines, compressors, fuel systems, and field instrumentation</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Support field installations of control panels and related components according to drawings and documentation</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Perform start-ups, testing, and commissioning activities to verify functionality and design intent</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Provide responsive customer service, technical support, and clear communication while onsite</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Document work performed, findings, and recommendations in service records and reports</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Collaborate with the Field Service Supervisor and internal teams to resolve issues and plan work effectively</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Follow job plans, work orders, and procedures while proactively raising concerns or improvement opportunities</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicles in clean, organized, and safe condition</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Assist with readiness checks, parts verification, and job preparation activities</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Participate in troubleshooting calls and provide remote assistance when appropriate</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Support inventory control of field parts, tools, and consumables as directed</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Ensure strict adherence to EMIT safety policies, OSHA requirements, and customer site rules</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Participate in safety briefings, job hazard analyses, and incident documentation when required</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Serve as a respectful ambassador of EMIT — professional, dependable, and customer-focused at all times</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Qualifications:</strong></div>
<ul data-start="2832" data-end="3590">
<li>
<div>High school diploma or GED required</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>3–5 years of field service experience in natural gas equipment, industrial electrical systems, controls or equivalent education/experience</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Technical certification or associate degree in electrical, instrumentation, or related discipline is a plus</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and safety procedures</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Strong written and verbal communication skills for reports, documentation, and customer communication</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Solid problem-solving ability in both structured and real-world field environments</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Comfortable using laptops, Microsoft Office tools, and diagnostic/service software</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Valid driver’s license and ability/willingness to travel primarily within assigned region</div>
</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Work Environment:</strong></div>

<div>Exposure to heat, cold, dust, weather, and active industrial sites</div>

<div>Lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis</div>
</li>
<li>
<div>Stand, walk, climb, and work for extended periods, often outdoors and in varying weather conditions</div>

<div>Ability to work safely around machinery, electrical systems, chemicals, and noise</div>
</li>
</ul>
