Looking for a hands-on job with steady hours and growth opportunities? Interstate Waste Services (IWS) is hiring a Laborer for our Amsterdam Transfer Station. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a team that keeps communities clean and running, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Perform general labor duties including shoveling, lifting, pulling, and site cleanup
- Direct trucks and equipment safely throughout the facility
- Set up traffic control signs, cones, and barriers
- Communicate with drivers and team members using radios
- Fuel and clean vehicles and equipment
- Assist with securing landfill coverings and wind fencing
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
What We're Looking For
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- General labor, construction, landscaping, or outdoor work experience preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Equipment operation experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate in English
