Role Overview:
The Logistics Scheduler is responsible for coordinating transportation activities, monitoring shipment progress, and supporting interplant movement and carrier execution. This role focuses on shipment visibility, schedule accuracy, issue resolution, and cost-aware logistics planning across domestic and international flows.
What will you do?
- Coordinate national and international carriers to support on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Work with OTM planners on the correct assignment and daily follow-up of OB shipments.
- Track and trace national and international IB and OB shipments.
- Communicate with plant departments to support correct movement execution.
- Assign trips to drivers in the interplant circuit and optimize circuit unit trips.
- Follow up on urgent shipments and escalate timing issues when needed.
- Maintain records of domestic operations, shipment status, and extra expenses.
- Support reporting and visibility for logistics performance and daily execution.
How will you do it?
- You will stay close to daily operations, keeping shipment plans current and removing barriers that delay execution.
- You will take ownership of the schedule with accuracy, accountability, and attention to safe, reliable movement.
- You will communicate clearly with planners, plants, carriers, and drivers to resolve issues quickly and keep work moving.
- You will look for practical improvements in routing, follow-up, and recordkeeping to strengthen performance over time.
- You will work as one team, valuing trust, collaboration, and different perspectives to support the best outcome for the operation.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain scheduling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- English proficiency is required.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with OTM or similar transportation management systems.
- Experience in a manufacturing, interplant, or multi-site logistics environment.
- Exposure to shipment costing, reporting, or transportation performance metrics.
