ElectricalFull-time
Troy, MI, USPosted 1h ago

About this role

Lead the technical work. Develop the team. Help customers plan with confidence.

Landmark Electric is seeking an experienced Michigan Master Electrician to lead technical oversight, prepare estimates and support the continued development of our field team.

This is a management and estimating position. It does not include field service, repairs or installation work. Site visits are part of the role for evaluating proposed projects, preparing estimates, reviewing workmanship and supporting inspections.

Reporting directly to the President, you will serve as Landmark’s designated Master Electrician of Record and help ensure our work meets applicable electrical requirements and company standards. You will bring technical judgment to project planning, provide guidance to electricians and help customers understand their options.

Based in Troy, Landmark specializes in residential electrical service, repair and upgrades, with additional light-commercial work throughout Oakland, Macomb and select Wayne County communities.

Responsibilities

Estimating and customer consultation

  • Meet with customers to evaluate electrical needs and proposed improvements.
  • Prepare accurate estimates and clearly defined scopes of work.
  • Identify labor, material, equipment, permitting and project-coordination requirements.
  • Explain recommendations, answer questions and help customers make informed decisions.
  • Communicate approved scopes and technical requirements to dispatch and field personnel.

Technical oversight and compliance

  • Serve as Landmark’s designated Master Electrician of Record and actively oversee electrical code compliance.
  • Review proposed installations, project documentation and technical requirements.
  • Support permitting, inspection readiness and communication with local inspectors.
  • Conduct workmanship reviews and provide technical direction when issues arise.
  • Exercise defined authority to address electrical safety and workmanship concerns, with the support of company leadership.

Team development and coordination

  • Mentor electricians and provide technical guidance on complex questions.
  • Support onboarding and reinforce consistent workmanship, safety and documentation practices.
  • Help identify recurring problems and implement practical improvements.
  • Coordinate with the President and office team on project readiness and field support.

Dispatch retains responsibility for scheduling. Your focus is estimating, technical leadership, compliance and team development—not performing service calls or installations.

Qualifications

  • An active Michigan Master Electrician license at the time of application.

  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, permitting and inspection processes.
  • Clear customer communication, sound judgment and dependable follow-through.
  • A constructive approach to mentoring electricians and collaborating with office staff.
  • A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local customer and job sites.

Supervisory, inspection or project-oversight experience is preferred. A college degree is not required. Experienced masters seeking to move from hands-on field work into management and estimating are encouraged to apply.
