CNC Swiss Machinist (1st Shift)

Classic Metal Finishing, a Jackson, Michigan based company and manufacturer of CNC Machining and Metal Finishing is seeking to recruit a full-time CNC Swiss Machinist on 1st shift.

1st shift: 6:00am-3:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes to job specifications.
• Install and adjust tooling, workholding, collets, guide bushings, and bar feeders.
• Load and align material bars and verify correct machine parameters.
• Run first-piece inspections and perform test cuts to ensure part accuracy.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CNC programs.
• Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, chip control, and surface finish problems.
• Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve cycle times and machining processes.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators and optical comparators

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good attendance/work history
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good hand eye coordination

Job description:

Classic Metal Finishing, a leader in Manufacturing and Metal Finishing, is looking for a General Laborer to join their team on 3rd shift. Classic Metal Finishing prides itself with complete dedication to not only its customers but also to its employees by providing a safe, clean and family-friendly environment.

3rd Shift: 10pm-7am

Responsibilities:

• Perform repetitive job responsibilities throughout their shift.
• Retain information that you have been trained on.
• Count/Inspect the finished product and determine if the product order is complete
• Transfer finished product to customer container or box and complete paperwork
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
• Clean work area and equipment
• Maintain efficiency expectations to ensure on time delivery

Requirements:

• GED/Highschool Diploma
• Good attendance/work history
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good hand eye coordination
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours.
