Physical Requirements:

·       Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, constant walking, bending, and reaching. Occasional lifting (50 # maximum without help), climbing ladders, and working with equipment shoulder level and above.

Job Requirements:

1.     Operates all coil handling equipment, Lubricators, Cuppers, Ironers, Trimmers and Schneider. Perform minor maintenance and maintain filters, lube and coolant levels as needed.

2.     Set up coils on Upender, Coil Car and Uncoiler as needed.

3.     Competent in basic SPC, Gainseeker, Protraq and interpretation of SPC charts.

4.     Perform quality checks as required and adjust machines as needed.

5.     Complete all documentation required.

6.     Document any out of gate /spec conditions and react according. Notify Supervisor of any out of spec condition.

7.     Clear jams in cuppers, ironers, trimmers, elevators, trackwork, and scrap handling equipment, to maintain production flow and reduce downtime.

8.     Keep equipment and work area free of trim scrap, oil, water, and all debris. Review work areas “Cleaning List” and perform tasks listed. Initial “Cleaning List” once each task is completed.

9.     Be active in all OpEx initiatives, performing all assigned tasks and audits.

10.  Assist Mechanics in making repairs or performing maintenance work.

11.  Report to Supervisor and Mechanic any incidence of recurring equipment malfunction, poor quality materials or production problems.

12.  Feed cans back into the line from areas designated as recyclable.

13.  Handle hazardous material and waste properly.

14.  Monitor Schneider filter paper and make changes as required.

15.  Perform secondary jobs as instructed by the Supervisor.

16.  Attend all required safety, environmental, and general informational training sessions, and meetings.
