Job Description
The Procurement Coordinator supports the Purchasing Manager in the execution and continuous improvement of material procurement for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is instrumental in the rollout and adoption of our purchasing platform software, which enables field supervisors to directly place and manage material orders.

Rather than serving as a primary order entry role, the Procurement Coordinator focuses on supporting field teams through training, guidance, and issue resolution—ensuring they can effectively use the system and receive the materials they need without disruption. This role is also responsible for managing non-routine purchasing challenges, including backorders, material shortages, and vendor issues, by identifying and executing alternative solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience in electrical distribution or construction material supply and thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment and understands:

  • electrical materials
  • lead times
  • substitutions
  • vendor networks
  • contractor urgency
  • “I need this tomorrow morning.”

Key Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or material supply
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in electrical distribution (highly preferred)
  • Experience with construction materials or industrial supply
  • Familiarity with procurement or ERP systems (Remarkable experience is a plus)
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively under pressure
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of electrical materials (gear, conduit, wire, lighting, etc.)
