Follows policies, procedures, and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations | Follows and/ or develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes through standard procedures & systems (e.g., ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000 & AS9100 standards), quality audits/ review process, etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Position Location Detail: This position is located at our Main Plant facility.Impact of the Role

Essential Functions
- Defines and specifies activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
- Builds and maintains the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
- Identifies and addresses any issues with equipment performance.
- Audits, monitors, and determines the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
- Reports and troubleshoots manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods
- Conducts tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 2-5 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Technical training preferred
- Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical inspection instruments. Familiarity with quality systems, NCR processes, and inspection plans (ANSI/ASQ, AQL). Experience with ERP or quality management systems preferred.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
- This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Additional Responsibilities
Execute inspections on incoming goods, validate supplier documents, and deploy precision tools to confirm specifications. Capture results in the quality system, flag and document nonconforming materials, and brief internal teams. Strengthen supplier quality, uphold calibrated equipment, enforce quality and safety standards, and drive continuous improvement.
