Residential Installer
Position Title: Installation
Reports to: Installation Supervisor

Position Summary:
To install all makes and models of products, as well as door related equipment, distributed by PS GARAGE DOORS of South Dakota. Perform related shop operations for the products we service. This position requires a cooperative attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and co-workers. Travel is involved, and occasionally overnight trips may be required. This position requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and the ability to participate in a 24 hour on-call service system. Position is unsupervised at all times.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform installation on all residential & commercial jobs
• Service and repair for residential & commercial jobs when needed
• Read and interpret construction drawings, work orders, and related information
• Ability to troubleshoot operating errors and determine a solution
• Equipment maintenance and other duties related to quality control
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card (required for DOT regulations in MN).
• Skill in reading, writing, and math relative to construction drawings, work orders, timecards, shipping reports, and other job-related functions.
• Must have basic carpentry skills and mechanical knowledge relative to building construction and a service environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in welding (electric stick) and/or gas cutting torches (plasma, acetylene).
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, pneumatic circuits, & hydraulic circuits are beneficial.
• Forklift certification and/or CDL would be helpful.
• Background in installation, service/repair, or carpentry is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and walk with loads up to 150 lbs. with assistance, & climb ladders and scaffolding while carrying loads up to 75 lbs.
Work Environments:
• Position is primarily in-field installation with some work done in areas without heat or air conditioning.
