Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.</p></div><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Job Summary:</strong></span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Under the direction of the Distribution Manager, will provide all aspects of leadership to HP Hood site drivers as well as the </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Distribution/Transportation Department by collaborating with drivers on the road conducting audits and training.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Provide all aspects of leadership to HP Hood site drivers and the Distribution/Transportation Department.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• New Hire trainings to include at least two ride alongs a week.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Minimum of 50% of work schedule will be on the road conducting audits and trainings. </span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Assist the team in all aspects of promoting the company safety program, immediately identifying, and eliminating </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">risks and driving safe work habits and behaviors.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Assist Distribution Management on all motor vehicle accident reports and conduct injury reporting and </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">investigations.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Provide daily updates to internal and external customers on an as needed basis.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Monitor route times</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Participate in investigations and assist to resolve customer complaints as needed.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Assist in management of company fleet needs and equipment repairs.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Maintain DOT, HOS, and FMCSA compliance.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Function as a back-up to drive routes in the event of a driver call out.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Other duties as assigned.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Education and Experience: </span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• CDL-A required.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Experience in route structuring, safety, and customer satisfaction</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Proven knowledge of DOT, FMCSA and HOS regulations and distribution safety management</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Prior experience in supervising commercial drivers preferred.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Skills and Competencies:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Excellent people skills required.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. </span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Microsoft Office & Outlook.</span></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Physical Demands:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Position is primarily based in an office environment but is subject to the same physical demands of the drivers – please see </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">the attached list of physical demands.</span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">SQF Requirements/Responsibilities</span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work </span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">area in a sanitary manner. </span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Support biosecurity and GMP measures. </span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Work with SQF site lead and HR to support SQF training efforts. </span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Backup duties are covered by other distribution supervisor or the distribution Manager when not on site. </span></p>
<p><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Site Specific Requirements:</span></strong><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Maintain SQF Documentation and prepare reports (if requested).</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">• Serves a backup for the Distribution Drivers and their SQF responsibilities.</span></p>
