Join us as a Senior Finance Analyst and take ownership of the financial review and analysis for Johnson Electric. In this highly visible role, you will go beyond the numbers, challenging results, uncovering key business drivers, and turning financial data into meaningful insights. Working closely with our Shared Service Centre and European Finance Leadership, you will oversee P&L and balance sheet reviews, CIT calculations, and Swiss statutory reporting, ensuring financial information is accurate, compliant, and ready to support confident business decisions.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Lead the monthly P&L review, analysing variances against budget, forecast and prior year, and providing clear explanations for key movements
- Review the monthly balance sheet and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of outstanding items
- Oversee key accounting areas, including provisions, accruals, intercompany balances, and AP, AR and fixed asset reconciliations
- Prepare financial analysis and management commentary for European Finance Leadership as part of the monthly reporting process
- Prepare the annual and interim corporate income tax (CIT) computations, including tax provision, deferred tax and supporting reconciliations
- Prepare the CIT package for review by the Finance Manager and technical review by the Group CIT team and coordinate with external tax advisors on filings and assessments
- Own the JE statutory reporting calendar and ensure all filings are submitted on time, including the transaction summary reporting to the Swiss National Bank (SNB)
- Support preparation of the Swiss statutory financial statements (Swiss Code of Obligations) and reconciliation to Group (IFRS) reporting
- Coordinate the external audit for JE: prepare the PBC list, respond to auditor queries and track audit findings to closure
- Close collaboration and communication with our Shared Service Centre in Hatvan (GL/FA, AP, AR, VAT)
- Act as the entity-side reviewer of SSC deliverables, maintain internal control documentation for the JEIAG closing, tax and reporting processes
- Contribute to automation and reporting improvements (Power BI, Excel automation, AI tools)
Our requirements:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- Having Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification would be advantage
- More than 7 years of experience in accounting, controlling or financial analysis, ideally in an international manufacturing group
- Strong accounting knowledge, including month-end close, financial statement analysis, Swiss statutory accounting and tax, and IFRS Group reporting
- Controlling mindset, with the ability to challenge numbers, understand key business drivers, identify root causes, and proactively manage financial risks
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools
- Practical experience using AI tools or automation to speed up analysis, reconciliations or reporting is an advantage
- ERP experience, preferably Oracle; exposure to consolidation tools (e.g. Oracle FCCS) is a plus
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; French or German knowledge would be considered as advantage
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform effectively under pressure with stress resilient mindset
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across international teams
