Role Overview Arctic Air Conditioning is growing, and we're looking for a highly skilled, full-time Generator Technician to join our team! This is not an entry-level position. We're seeking an experienced professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. Here's What You Bring to the Table: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing standby generator systems Experience with Generac, Kohler, Briggs & Stratton, or similar generator brands preferred Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills Ability to perform generator start-ups, preventative maintenance, and repairs independently Knowledge of transfer switches, fuel systems, and generator controls Experience troubleshooting residential and light commercial standby generators Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals EPA certification and electrical experience are a plus Valid driver's license and clean driving record Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of generator service and repair experience preferred Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities Experience with residential standby generator systems Knowledge of electrical systems and safety procedures Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently Clean background and ability to pass a drug screen (per local laws) Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on residential and light commercial generator systems Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions Install, service, and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and generator controls Conduct system start-ups, load bank testing, and operational testing Maintain accurate service records and documentation Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to customers Follow manufacturer specifications and company safety standards Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely completion of service calls Schedule Monday to Friday, one weekend shift required Occasional on-call rotation one night per week Why You'll Love Working Here • Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid parental leave; PTO; company-paid holidays; life and disability insurance; accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity coverage; and access to voluntary benefits such as pet insurance and identity/fraud protection - everything you need to support yourself and your family. • Real Growth Opportunities: With more than 60+ strong local brands behind you, you’ll have the chance to grow your skills, take on new responsibilities, and build a long-term career. • A Culture with Heart: We lead with teamwork, respect, and integrity.
