About this role

What You Will Do

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting our warehouse operations in Letchworth, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of goods. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will help maintain inventory accuracy, support customer deliveries and contribute to a safe and efficient working environment. This is an on-site role working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

How You Will Do It

  • Receive and check inbound deliveries against shipping documentation.
  • Inspect incoming goods and report any damage or discrepancies.
  • Accurately record receipts, stock movements and dispatches within warehouse systems.
  • Store materials safely and efficiently in designated locations.
  • Pick, verify and prepare customer orders to required specifications.
  • Pack products securely in line with transportation requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures.
  • Support inventory management and stock accuracy activities.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • Work closely with colleagues and internal stakeholders to support operational requirements.

What We Are Looking For

Required

  • Warehouse, logistics, distribution or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to undertake manual handling and work in a physically active role.
  • Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to working safely and following site procedures.
  • GCSE-level education, equivalent qualification, or relevant experience.

Beneficial

  • Forklift truck licence or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of stock control and inventory management processes.
